SEO Fire ("SEO Fire," "we," "us") provides an app that scans and improves the on-page SEO of a Shopify store. This policy explains what data we access through the Shopify Admin API, why, and what we do with it. It applies to every merchant who installs SEO Fire.

1. Data we access

SEO Fire requests the following Shopify Admin API scopes at install: write_products, write_content, and write_files. In practice, this means we read and, only with your action, write:

• Product, page, and blog article titles, descriptions, and body content
• Product images and their alt text
• Metafields SEO Fire uses to store structured data (schema) it generates
• Your store's domain and basic shop information provided by Shopify at install

We do not request access to customer personal information, orders, payment details, or financial data. SEO Fire's scans read the public-facing content of your store — the same content a search engine crawler would see.

2. How we use it

Store content is used exclusively to run SEO checks, generate proposed fixes, and — only when you choose to publish a change — write that change back to your store through the Shopify Admin API. Before any fix is offered to you, it's tested against a private copy of your page data; nothing is published without your action.

We keep a record of scan results and a snapshot of any field we change, specifically so we can offer one-click rollback. Nothing about your store's content is used to train any model or shared with any AI or machine-learning provider — SEO Fire's fixes are generated by deterministic rules, not by sending your content to a third-party AI service.

3. Where data is stored

Scan results, fix history, and account/subscription records are stored in a private Postgres database, hosted on Railway. Data is scoped per store and never shared across merchants. We do not sell store data, and we do not share it with third parties except the infrastructure providers necessary to run the app (hosting and database providers under their own security and processing terms).

4. Data retention and deletion

We retain scan history and snapshots for as long as your store has SEO Fire installed, so that history and rollback remain available to you. If you uninstall SEO Fire, we process the uninstall webhook and remove associated store data in line with Shopify's standard app-uninstall data handling requirements. SEO Fire also honors Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact) for any data subject or shop-deletion request routed to us by Shopify.

5. Your choices

You control every publish action SEO Fire takes — no fix goes live without you reviewing and confirming it (or, on plans where auto-publish is enabled, without it first passing every safety check described in our Features page). You can uninstall the app from your Shopify admin at any time, which revokes our access immediately.
